It may have been a balmy 22 degrees in Los Angeles, but Ashley Olsen looked more dressed up for a winter's day as she arrived at LAX earlier this week.
And the budding fashion designer's choice of outerwear was even more bizarre as she appeared to be wearing a floor length snuggie.
Sporting a pair of her usual oversized sunglasses, the star looked more ready for spending a night in front of the television in her charcoal coloured ensemble.
The star was later seen stepping through security in an equally baggy black maxi dress.
And following her flight, she stepped out in New York wearing another maxi dress and a sheer navy blue cardigan.
It’s not unusual for mini-mogul Ashley and her millionaire twin Mary-Kate, who both turn 25 later this month, to wear something that raise the question, 'What on earth were they thinking?'
Ashley recently revealed to US website Style.com that their scruffy look - which earned them the ‘homeless chic’ monicker - was a deliberate ploy to avoid photographers while they were students at New York University.
That moment for us was us waking up, going to school, and not wanting anyone to take our picture. Kind of a piece of protection,’ the Full House star explained.
Skinny Mary-Kate claimed the frigid Manhattan winters were to blame for her overly-layered looks.
‘For me, it was so cold, like the wind chill,’ she said. ‘How could you not put on 20 things when you’re going from Los Angeles to walking through the snow?’
The former teen stars first broke into the fashion industry with a clothing line at low-cost superstore Wal-Mart.
They then upped their chic-factor with their next fashion project, The Row, a high-end fashion line inspired by London's Saville Row.
